Breaking Barriers and Building bridges

ree

Human relationships are a complex phenomenon when viewed superficially but as we go deeper, even simple things become unnecessarily intricate.

We have technically evolved as a society, become a civilization that has a lot to boast of, but have we really evolved when it comes to interpersonal equations?

These are questions we need to ask ourselves from time to time. Humans like many other animals are gregarious beings and thrive in groups. However, the ability to converse sometimes is taken for granted and not exploited to the fullest. The foundation of a good relationship is always an exchange of information, ideas, listening and sharing. Easier said than done, is the maxim that applies here, but have we ever wondered what the lack of a conversation does or can do?

More often than not the lack of an open communication corridor creates obstacles and barriers that are unresolved and add to making the journey of life difficult and traumatic.

Taboo Talks: Normal conversations are difficult in themselves, but extremely crucial to build bridges and sustainable bonds. So, is talking important? Most certainly, it is, Especially, in general and specifically with reference to topics that have been stereotyped over a period of time and are considered taboo.

Talking gives an opportunity to address innermost feelings and creates a sense of belonging and forges long lasting bonds. Constant meaningful conversations help to bring on board topics that are often pushed under the carpet as well as those that remove or dilute stigma attached to many aspects in society.

Shame or share: Sharing could sometimes lead to shaming; therefore, many people are inhibited and avoid sharing for the fear of being shamed, by a society that is not very accepting or forthcoming. Conformity or uniformity is such a huge expectation that many prefer to remain silent. But this leads to suffering and untold grief. An example that comes to mind is one’s perspective about one’s own body! Very often stereotyping in society leads to comparisons and disrespecting the physical self. This adds to emotional scarring and a race to be better than others. Shaming oneself or falling for the popular scams about such trends, further distances one from one’s own inner being. Let’s talk and break barriers and build bridges. Where do we begin. Message us write to us and we will talk to you about any and everything under the sun.
